FLOWER FRIDAY

Flowers...besides you and the groom, they're the main centerpiece of a wedding. They influence the mood, style, and theme. Roses give off the impression of a traditional, but romantic and fairy tale like theme of a wedding. While, daisy's represent a more fun, bright, and country feel. Needless to say, flowers say a lot! 

With that said, many times picking out your flowers can be overwhelming, due to the enormous selection that you have to choose from. Well, thanks to TheKnot.com, our favorite wedding site, they provide a helpful guide to the top 10 flowers for weddings! 

1. Roses - The traditional flower; symbolizing beauty and love, is far from boring and will always be eye catching. There are more than 3,000 different varieties of roses because of its color and tint. There are three main types of roses: the hybrid tea roses, that you most commonly see; spray roses, which come in stems that have 10 small blooms; and garden roses, which come in strong scents, bushy open heads, and an expensive price tag.



2. Tulips - A meaningful wedding choice, this flower represents "consuming love" and "the happy years". It is grown in a wide range of colors including: white and cream; pastels of pink, yellow, and peach; as well as, vibrant hues of red, magenta, and purple. Generally, this is an affordable flower that is available through much of the year. 



3. Calla Lily - Elegant trumpet shaped blossom that is known for its magnificent, capturing beauty. You can find this flower in two types: the large headed variety, including a long stem or the  miniature version. 



4. Lily of the Valley - Known as the "goddess of springtime" due to its plentiful presence in the spring season.  BUT despite its crowning into springtime, you can still find this expensive bloom available year round in shades of white and light pinks.



5. Hydrangeas - Looking to be bold at your wedding, then the hydrangea is where it's at. Known for its big bushy head, vibrant colors, and scentless bloom, it can be the perfect fir for your bouquet. 




6. Peonies - Known for its large full head, potent perfume, and bright colors. This flower shares two types of style, the herbaceous and the tree peony. This pricy bloom is available from late spring to early summer, but if you're really dying to have it, you may import it in the fall.



7. Ranunculus - Perfect cost effective alternative to roses and peonies, this flower includes a mild scent with fern like foliage. 



8. Stephanotis- The flower representing "marital happiness", because of its pure white and daintiness. It is one of the most traditional wedding flowers, due to it's mild scent, inexpensive price and availability year round. 



9. Sweet Peas - signifies "lasting pleasure", due to it's candy like scent. It's ruffled blossoms make this flower a fashioned favorite. Colors range from white to dark pinks and purples!



10. Gardenias - great for tucking random flowers into your bouquet or lone-side in a  glass bowl  with water as a centerpiece!
